We return to this truth again and again:
I am a Maker. We are all Makers.

About Us

Founded in 2023, we started with a simple but powerful idea:

making should be joyful, accessible, and centered on exploration—not perfection.

Our Philosophy

What started with early childhood and family workshops has expanded to include:

  • a custom creative fabrication studio for one-of-a-kind builds

  • learning experiences for schools and libraries

  • community and cultural events

  • creative wellness and team-building workshops for workplaces

Through all of it, our purpose remains the same: to help people develop comfort and confidence in making [and in themselves], to bring ideas to life.

We believe:

Everyone is a maker.

Making is a universal human language—one that belongs to all of us.

Creativity grows through curiosity, experimentation, and play.

Hands-on exploration nurtures confidence, resilience, and joy.

The process of making is as meaningful as what we make.

It supports emotional wellbeing, reflection, and personal growth.

Shared creativity strengthens connection, belonging, and trust.

When we make together, we feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger.

Making helps us imagine—and build—the world we want to live in.

It expands our sense of possibility and invites us to shape our future with intention.

Why Making Matters

Studies in education and organizational psychology show that hands-on creative experiences can:

  • Improve problem-solving and flexible thinking

  • Support emotional wellbeing and reduce stress

  • Strengthen communication and collaboration

  • Enhance self-confidence and personal expression

Making is a tool for learning, for confidence,  for innovation,  and for community.

A Message from Our Founder

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to making things—painting, building, stitching, experimenting, imagining what could exist and shaping it with my own hands. Art and creativity have always been my grounding place: a way to express what I couldn’t yet say, a way to understand myself and the world, and a way to connect with others through curiosity and shared experience.

My Background

I earned my BFA in Fine Art, followed by an MA in Education, and later became a National Board–Certified Health and Wellness Coach—each step deepening my understanding of how creativity, learning, and wellbeing are deeply connected. For over two decades, I’ve worked alongside children, families, and communities. I began my career in schools supporting children with learning differences and neurodivergence, and then spent over 15 years in leadership roles within academic medicine supporting medical education, clinical care, and research.

That belief—that making is a pathway to confidence, connection, and belonging—has guided my entire professional journey.

My Why

What I came to understand in the spaces I've worked in is this: people don’t thrive on information alone. They thrive when they feel safe, seen, supported, and connected. That realization shaped the way I led and the programs I built. I developed initiatives centered on creativity, reflection, and shared experience—art and wellness programming, staff development workshops, mentorship and leadership training, and large-scale learning environments designed to foster trust, psychological safety, and a genuine sense of belonging.

Again and again, I saw the same thing happen: when people were given the space to create, something shifted. They opened up. They connected more deeply. They began to see themselves—and each other—differently. They developed confidence in themselves, and a deeper sense of trust, psychological safety and connection with those around them.

The Little Makerspace grew out of that understanding. It’s a space designed to bring all of these elements together—creativity, connection, learning, and wellbeing—in a way that is tangible, accessible, and shared. Whether someone joins a workshop, celebrates a milestone, participates in a team experience, or brings an idea to life through a custom build, the goal is the same: to create moments where people feel grounded, inspired, connected, and more confident in who they are and what they’re capable of.

Thank you for being here—for believing in creativity, for valuing connection, and for choosing to make something meaningful with us.

I am a Maker.
We are all Makers.

And I’m grateful to build this creative community with you.
